Spring ESCAPE

I just drove down to Charlotte, and I am now sitting in the comfy living room of my best friend Courtney. Tomorrow morning at 9AM, we will depart for FORT MORGAN! I am very excited incase you can't tell. It will be a week of only tanning and partying. Cannot wait.
Only thing I am worried about is the threat of tornados in Mississippi and Alabama right now...but nothing will keep me from spring break, nothing.
And yes,  my school does have a very late spring break, we are on a weird private school schedule.

So many paintings, so little time

Yesterday I aced my journalism final in a record breaking 20 minutes, but tomorrow I have my art history final and it is sure to take me at least six times that long. I have 145 flash cards to memorize, and although I am almost 3/4 done, these last ones appear to be impossible to remember. The works proving to be the most difficult are the English artists we studied at the end of the course, such as Nicholson and Epstein. I just hope I have them all memorized by 9 AM tomorrow...

Time to start studying...

Finals finally begin tomorrow. As winter term has come to an end, it means a few things: cramming, coffee, compulsive eating, sleep depravation, and above all, stress. I find it very interesting to observe different peoples study habits. I have one friend who is taking our art history exam tomorrow morning, and has yet to begin studying the 160 works we have to memorize. If I was in her situation, I would personally be freaking out, but then again, that is just me. I prefer to take my exams from easiest to hardest, one a day. I'm the kind of person who likes to knock them out and finish as quickly as I can. Other people I know like to take all week to get their exams done and prolong the studying as long as they can... well whatever your study habits, good luck and try not to go insane. All I know is that I am ready for this semester to be done because it has been beyond stressful.

But as Bob Marley just came on my Pandora, I will try not to worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright...once it it spring break at least...

Gone to Carolina

This summer, as soon as tickets for James Taylor went online for sale, my Dad and I jumped on them and bought the best seats available. We have been looking forward to this concert ever since we got the confirmation e-mail for our purchase. When I found out that the concert fell on the same day as W&L's coveted Fancy Dress, I could care less, I was going to see James Taylor live!
Although I was a surprised when his son Ben took the stage with him, I ended up enjoying his music as well. Ben Taylor has a voice similar to his father, but his music has a more jazz/bohemian feel to it--I recommend checking him out if you are interested.
If you get a chance to see JT in concert, buy a ticket, he is definitely worth the money.
